Rigging Duties Allowance. (a) If an employee is a qualified basic, intermediate or advanced rigger, and is required to perform rigging duties, they shall be paid flat allowance, but only in respect of the week for which the employee is engaged in such duties, of: Basic: $10 per week Intermediate: $20 per week Advanced: $30 per week 26.1 Employees may elect to sacrifice a proportion of their wages to the C+BUS superannuation fund and/or PROTECT Severance Fund. The Employer will comply with the employee’s request within two weeks and make deductions from gross income. Details of any salary sacrifice arrangements shall be reflected on the employee’s pay slip. These arrangements shall be altered only twice a year if requested. Administration costs will be borne by employees. 26.2 In order to gain the benefit from making superannuation contributions from gross earnings salary sacrifice to superannuation may be agreed between the Employer and an employee and must legally fulfil SGAA and Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements. 26.3 Any salary sacrifice arrangements entered into between the Employer and an employee shall: • not disadvantage the employee or the Employer in any way; • be effective only on the written authority of the employee; • immediately be stopped at the written request of the employee; • have a statement provided to the employee detailing the salary sacrifice at the end of each financial year; • not reduce or alter the Employer’s superannuation contribution calculation or obligation to pay superannuation under SGAA or SGCA; • not reduce the employee’s hourly all-purpose rate of pay for the purposes of Agreement entitlements (including accrued entitlements and the application of penalty rates); and • Immediately be reviewed in the event of any change to any relevant Act(s) or ATO rulings. 26.4 Where an employee elects to salary sacrifice, the employee may receive less actual pay than their classification rate specified in this Agreement (i.e. the classification rate less the salary sacrifice amount).

  • Higher Duties Allowance (a) An employee who is appointed to perform temporarily all of the duties of a higher classified position and who performs all such duties required to be performed during the appointment will be paid an allowance equal to the difference between their substantive salary and the minimum salary of the higher classified position for all the time during which the employee performs such duties. Where it is specified at the commencement of the higher duties allowance that the employee is to undertake part of the duties of the higher position only, a lesser amount, which will normally be a percentage of the full amount, will be paid. (b) No allowance will be payable pursuant to subclause 12.1(a) unless the employee performs the duties of the higher classified position for a period in excess of one (1) week or in excess of two (2) consecutive working days for trades staff. (c) No allowance will be payable pursuant to subclause 12.1(a) to an employee whose position is designated as a “deputy” or equivalent of a more senior employee, whose normal duties as specified by their job description include deputising for that more senior employee and who is deputising while the senior employee is absent on duty or for periods of leave for up to four (4) weeks. (d) An employee who has been in receipt of a higher duties allowance for more than one (1) month will be paid such allowance for all paid leave taken during that period. (e) An employee who has been relieving continuously in a position for a period in excess of 12 months who retires, resigns or is retrenched by the University will receive payment for accrued leave entitlements at the higher rate of pay on termination of employment. (f) Where an employee in receipt of a higher duties allowance works on a public holiday, the relevant shift loading or overtime rate will be applied to the higher duties allowance for time worked on that day.

  • Site Allowance All new construction and extension/refurbishment work having a project value in excess of $2.0m will attract the then current City of Melbourne Site Allowance.

  • Education Allowance Provisions in existing Collective Agreements providing for educational allowances shall be continued in effect.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Car Allowance The Company shall provide the Executive an automobile allowance of $750 per month during the term of Executive’s employment hereunder.

  • First Aid Allowance An employee who has been trained to render first aid and who is the current holder of appropriate first aid qualifications such as a certificate from the St. John's Ambulance or similar body shall be paid a weekly allowance of $11.50 if appointed by their employer to perform first aid duty.

  • Boot Allowance The District will pay $180 toward the purchase and/or repair of work boots for District Employees listed in the District’s Work Apparel Policy and/or at the discretion of the employee’s department manager. Payment will be made by the first full paycheck of the employee’s date of hire and annually thereafter. Boots must meet applicable OSHA standards for the duties assigned.

  • Meal Allowance A shift worker who works a qualifying shift of eight hours or the rostered shift, whichever is the greater, and who is required to work more than one hour beyond the end of the shift (excluding any break for a meal) shall be paid a meal allowance of $7.95, or, at the option of the employer, be provided with a meal.

  • Relocation Allowance An employee who is promoted and required by agency policy to relocate his residence shall be granted time off with pay for one workday for this purpose. In addition, the employee shall be granted travel time to the new location based on the most direct route. No employee will be credited with more than the number of hours in the employee’s regular workday and such time shall not be counted as hours worked for the purpose of computing compensatory time or overtime.

  • Shift Allowance In addition to the wage specified in sub-clause (1), read with sub- clause (12), a normal shift worker shall, in respect of his shift hours worked in any week, be paid an additional 12,5% on such wage.
