Common use of Fares and Travel Allowance Clause in Contracts

Fares and Travel Allowance. (a) A daily fares and travelling time allowance shall be paid at the rate specified in the table below to an Employee working within the terms of this clause. $41.20 $41.61 $42.86 $44.15 $45.47 (b) Payment of the allowance shall be subject to the Employee starting and finishing work on the site at the usual starting and finishing times. (c) Provided that payment shall not be made for any day on which the Employee is absent from work for any reason. (d) The travelling allowances prescribed in this clause shall not be taken into account in calculating overtime, penalty rates, annual or sick leave but shall be payable for any day upon which the Employee in accordance with the Employer’s requirements works or reports for work or allocation of work. (e) The allowance prescribed by clause 33.4(a), shall not be payable on any rostered days off.
