Bereavement Days In the case of bereavement of immediate family (as defined in article IX.G.1 below), employees will be given three (3) days that do not count against personal or sick leave. Additional bereavement days taken will be deducted from sick leave.
Bereavement A maximum of three (3) days earned sick leave may be used per occurrence for bereavement due to the death of persons in the immediate or extended family, as defined herein, or any relative who resided with the employee.
Bereavement During Vacation Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with Article 12.04. The portion of the employee's vacation which is deemed to be bereavement leave under the above provisions will not be counted against the employee's vacation credits.
BEREAVEMENT ALLOWANCE 16.01 (a) The employer agrees to allow employees leave of absence, without loss of pay for five consecutive regular working days (calculated at straight time at the base hourly rate) in the event of the death of a parent, spouse or child, provided the time is required to look after funeral arrangements or family needs.
Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.
Bereavement Leave With Pay For the purpose of this clause, immediate family is defined as father, mother (or alternatively stepfather, stepmother or xxxxxx parent), brother, sister, spouse (including common-law spouse resident with the employee), child (including child of common-law spouse), stepchild or xxxx of the employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and relative permanently residing in the employee’s household or with whom the employee permanently resides.
BEREAVEMENT PAY 22.01 The Employer agrees that in the event of a death in the immediate family, the Employer shall grant bereavement leave of three (3) consecutive calendar days with pay. This leave includes both working and non-working days.
Funeral/Bereavement Leave In the event of death in the immediate family of an employee, the employee will be granted leave of absence with pay, with consideration given to travel time for the purpose of attending the funeral.
