First Source. If the contract is for more than $50,000 or involves the lease of City property, then the First Source Hiring Program (Admin. Code Chapter 83) may apply. Generally, this ordinance requires contractors to notify the First Source Hiring Program of available entry-level jobs and provide the Workforce Development System with the first opportunity to refer qualified individuals for employment. Contractors should consult the San Francisco Administrative Code to determine their compliance obligations under this chapter.

First Source. In support of City of Buffalo First Source hiring policies, the selected Consultant agrees that (i) in the hiring of any employees, subcontractor(s), or person(s) acting on behalf of the subcontractor, preference shall first be given to qualified persons who have resided in the City of Buffalo for at least six (6) consecutive months immediately prior to the commencement of their employment for the performance of work and (ii)the Consultant and any subcontractor(s) will work towards ensuring a minimum residency goal of 30% of workforce to include qualified residents in the City of Buffalo.

First Source. (a) The Entity agrees to employ and shall require in each of its contracts with contractors that they and their subcontractors must employ, residents of the Township in the construction of the Project, and in the operation and maintenance of the Project following Completion of Construction for so long as this Financial Agreement remains in effect with respect to the Project. Thirty percent (30%) of billable construction laborer, administrative and clerical hours associated with the Project shall be provided by Township residents consistent with market wages. The Entity will engage in and cooperate with efforts to recruit Township residents for all employment opportunities in connection with the Project, including participation in Township job fairs and utilization of a central employment registry, if the Township maintains such a registry. Prior to the execution of the Financial Agreement, and in accordance with the provisions of the First Source Employment Ordinance, the Parties shall execute a First Source Agreement substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit D. (b) The Entity shall use good faith and commercially reasonable efforts to undertake a program of local preference to facilitate entering into contracts with and/or purchasing good and services from local merchants and businesses located within the Township, including preferences for local retail and restaurant businesses.

  • First Source Hiring Program Contractor must comply with all of the provisions of the First Source Hiring Program, Chapter 83 of the San Francisco Administrative Code, that apply to this Agreement, and Contractor is subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions in Chapter 83.

  • Information Sources The Custodian may rely upon information received from issuers of Investments or agents of such issuers, information received from Subcustodians and from other commercially reasonable sources such as commercial data bases and the like, but shall not be responsible for specific inaccuracies in such information, provided that the Custodian has relied upon such information in good faith, or for the failure of any commercially reasonable information provider.

  • Research Independence The Company acknowledges that each Underwriter’s research analysts and research departments, if any, are required to be independent from their respective investment banking divisions and are subject to certain regulations and internal policies, and that such Underwriter’s research analysts may hold and make statements or investment recommendations and/or publish research reports with respect to the Company and/or the offering that differ from the views of its investment bankers. The Company hereby waives and releases, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any claims that the Company may have against such Underwriter with respect to any conflict of interest that may arise from the fact that the views expressed by their independent research analysts and research departments may be different from or inconsistent with the views or advice communicated to the Company by such Underwriter’s investment banking divisions. The Company acknowledges that the Representative is a full service securities firm and as such from time to time, subject to applicable securities laws, may effect transactions for its own account or the account of its customers and hold long or short position in debt or equity securities of the Company.

  • Information Systems Acquisition Development and Maintenance a. Client Data – Client Data will only be used by State Street for the purposes specified in this Agreement.

  • Foreign-Owned Companies in Connection with Critical Infrastructure If Texas Government Code, Section 2274.0102(a)(1) (relating to prohibition on contracts with certain foreign-owned companies in connection with critical infrastructure) is applicable to this Contract, pursuant to Government Code Section 2274.0102, Contractor certifies that neither it nor its parent company, nor any affiliate of Contractor or its parent company, is: (1) majority owned or controlled by citizens or governmental entities of China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or any other country designated by the Governor under Government Code Section 2274.0103, or (2) headquartered in any of those countries.

  • Information Technology Enterprise Architecture Requirements If this Contract involves information technology-related products or services, the Contractor agrees that all such products or services are compatible with any of the technology standards found at xxxxx://xxx.xx.xxx/iot/2394.htm that are applicable, including the assistive technology standard. The State may terminate this Contract for default if the terms of this paragraph are breached.
