FOP President Release. (Days). The bargaining unit member serving as President of the Miami-Dade Schools, Fraternal Order of Police Department Lodge No. 133 shall be assigned a forty-hour work week of detached duty while serving the employee organization for a term no longer than that of the elected position. This is a long-standing law enforcement and public safety practice within our community. During this time period, all normal benefits and any increases in same, including but not limited to salary, insurance, seniority, etc., will continue to be provided during the term of office. Time spent by the President attending to employee organization matters shall not constitute time worked for overtime purposes. During the time the President tends to the employee organization, the President shall be available to perform the duties of a police officer when called upon by the Chief of Police. A call to duty during this term shall be limited to events requiring demands on departmental resources. For the purpose of recording time, the Lodge President will notify the Police Chief of all absences, including vacations, sick leave, meeting attendances, out of town trips, etc. These provisions shall be negotiated annually.

  • Leave, President, O.N.A Upon application in writing by the Association on behalf of the nurse to the Hospital, a leave of absence shall be granted to such nurse elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. Notwithstanding Article 10.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority for a nurse during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the Hospital of her or his intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.
