OUT OF TOWN TRIPS. (a) When an employee is required to carry out an assignment outside the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, off-duty time spent in travel will be reimbursed at the normal overtime rate to be taken in pay or time off.
(b) Exclusive of trips to Aylmer, Ontario, when an employee is required by the employer to take a course outside of the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, off-duty time spent in travel will be reimbursed at the normal overtime rate but can only be taken on a time off in lieu basis.
(c) When an employee is required to carry out an assignment outside the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, such employee shall be entitled to payment for:
OUT OF TOWN TRIPS. All out of town field/sport activity runs/trips shall be compensated in accordance with salary schedule. In addition, each Driver will be paid for each hour during the down time, not including normal night time sleep, during each twenty-four (24) hour period. Represented employees of the NCSSO bargaining unit whose primary job classification is other than that of “School Bus Driver” and periodically (outside of an established rotation list as described in “Appendix B) drive a school bus for the purpose of performing “out of town” field/sport activity runs/trips on a day they are normally scheduled to work their primary job will be allowed to collect their regular hourly wage for the “standby/down time” in lieu of the amount listed for up to eight (8) hours. Total hours for driving (compensated by the per mile rate) and said “stand-by/down time or other hours worked cannot exceed fifteen (15) hours for any day. Compensation for field/sport activity bus Drivers will be increased by the same percentage and at the same time as the negotiated wage increase for the NCSSO Bargaining Unit Members as shown on the salary schedule (Appendix B). It is understood that Article 18-13 shall determine compensation for all field trip/sport activity runs. Payment for field/sport activity trip sheet, along with associated travel claims submitted to Transportation between the 1st and 15th, will be paid with the end of the month payroll. Payments for trips submitted to Transportation between the 16th and the end of the month, will be paid with the 15th of the next month payroll.
OUT OF TOWN TRIPS. On out-of-town trips, all drivers shall receive actual driving time going and coming. On the first day of an out-of-town trip, the driver shall be paid from the time that he/she is assigned to report until he/she ceases driving or until the regularly scheduled end of his/her work day, whichever is greater. On the second and succeeding days of such trips, when the return trip is made, the driver shall be paid from the start of his/her normal working day until he/she returns to the yard and completes his/her assignment. On said trips when a driver lays over for a day, he/she shall be paid for 7-1/2 hours or actual driving time on that day, whichever is greater.
OUT OF TOWN TRIPS. When a member required to go out of town on police duty (except for the purpose of training), he shall not be required to travel by motor vehicle more than kilometres per day. Any such travel excess of kilometres per day shall be at the option of the member.

21.02 Where a member is required to go out of town on police business (including training) and is required to use his personal vehicle, he shall be reimbursed in accordance with the provisions of By-Law 20011-247F (or as may be amended from time to time) of the City of Greater Sudbury respecting payment of expenses. New recruits while attending Ontario Police College for Basic Recruit Training are not entitled to this provision.
21.03 Members while out of town on police business shall be compensated in accordance with FIN 003 Travel Expenses for Police Related Activities.

21.02 Where a member is required to go out of town on police business (including training) and is required to use his personal vehicle, he shall be reimbursed in accordance with the provisions of By-Law 2003 – 315f) of the City of Greater Sudbury respecting payment of expenses. New recruits while attending Ontario Police College for Basic Recruit Training are not entitled to this provision.
OUT OF TOWN TRIPS. Out of town trips will be paid at the driver’s regular hourly rate of pay. There will be a minimum of three hours per trip. The Employer agrees to pay for all meals and lodging for overnight trips calling for the same as per 13.B.

21.02 Out of town escorts of 200 km or more one way shall be paid a thirty ($30) dollar meal allowance providing a minimum $15.00 receipt(s) is submitted to payroll. A receipt less than $15.00 shall only receive reimbursement for the amount equal to the receipt. Only receipts submitted for food and non- alcoholic beverages will be accepted.
21.03 Members required to travel out of town on police duty including for the purposes of training, and where such travel requires the member to stay overnight, the member’s schedule shall be adjusted to include travel to and from the required destination. Where such schedule cannot be adjusted, the member shall receive such travel time in lieu time-off at straight time.
