Forced or Compulsory Labour Sample Clauses

The Forced or Compulsory Labour clause prohibits the use of any work or service that is exacted from individuals under threat of penalty and for which they have not offered themselves voluntarily. In practice, this clause applies to all forms of employment within the organization and its supply chain, requiring employers to ensure that all workers are engaged freely and are not coerced through threats, debt bondage, or other forms of pressure. Its core function is to protect workers' rights and dignity by preventing exploitation and ensuring that all labor is performed on a voluntary basis, thereby addressing the problem of modern slavery and unethical labor practices.
Forced or Compulsory Labour. The Contractor represents and warrants that neither it, its parent entities (if any), nor any of the Contractor’s subsidiary or affiliated entities (if any) employs “forced or compulsory labour” in any form. “Forced or compulsory labour” consists of all work or service, not voluntarily performed, that is extracted from an individual under threat of force or penalty. The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that the provisions hereof constitute an essential term of the Contract and that any breach of this representation and warranty shall entitle the Agency to terminate the Contract immediately upon notice to the Contractor, without any liability for termination charges or any other liability of any kind.
