Common use of Function of Committee Clause in Contracts

Function of Committee. The Committee shall be generally advisory in nature. It shall have the power to make recommendations to the Union and the District of Kitimat with respect to its discussion and conclusions. The Committee shall generally concern itself with matters related to the following: (a) Considering constructive criticisms of all activities so that better relations shall exist between the District and all employees; (b) Improving services to the public; (c) Promoting safety and sanitary practices; (d) Reviewing suggestions from employees, questions of working conditions and practices, correcting conditions causing grievances and misunderstandings, reviewing policies and their applications, and reviewing proposals for alterations in the work environment; (e) Promoting the cooperative resolution of workplace issues; (f) Responding and adapting to changes in the economy; (g) Fostering the development of work-related skills and promoting workplace productivity.
