Future Economic Conditions. AFSCME and Transition Projects will work together in mutual interest to hold the City of Portland and Multnomah County accountable for providing adequate finances for bargaining unit members of Transition Projects. Upon request, the parties agree that they will open Article 19 - Wages, in the next fiscal year (2023) if Transition Projects receives from the Joint Office of Homeless Services (XXXX) a specifically-designated Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) wage of six and a half percent (6.5%) or greater. This reopener agreement does not apply to program expansion, changes, or special projects.

  • Safe Working Conditions The Employer undertakes to maintain office furniture, equipment, etc., in a practical and safe condition in order to avoid injury to employees or damage to their attire. Employees, for their part and in their own interest, are expected to advise the Employer of any such potentially injurious equipment.

To maximize the likelihood of success, each school must be permitted to implement programs that meet the needs of its students and community. Through a school-based decision-making process, each school will define the staff working conditions necessary for student success. School leadership teams will create and publish annual “school operational plans” which will outline working conditions of staff in the building. Such operational plans will be subject to the Superintendent’s review and approval.
