Graduate Students Employees. Graduate Student Employees shall be reimbursed for approved local travel expenses, incurred by them in connection with and when discharging the performance of their duties as a Teaching Assistant/Research Assistant. Travel expenses are hereby defined as reimbursement for mileage, public transportation and tolls.

Graduate Students Employees. Attendance at Conferences Prior to incurring any expenditure for travel to attend conferences the graduate student employee shall discuss with his or her supervisor and/or director, whether such attendance falls within the scope of his or her contractual appointment, or is in furtherance of pursuing his or her academic degree. If it is determined that the attendance is in furtherance of his or her academic degree, travel reimbursement in part or in full may be provided as determined by the university. Otherwise, reimbursement for travel shall be provided in accordance with the University’s Travel Policy.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee.
