Probationary Employees definition

Probationary Employees means and include those employees employed during the initial probationary period set forth in Article 14.1(b) above in any established position, provided that such definition will not include Regular Full-Time Employees on probation during the first ninety (90) working days of a promotion or transfer as referred to in Article 14.3 below.
Probationary Employees means Regular, Sessional, Apprentice and Limited Term Employees who are serving a probationary period as defined below, during their initial period of employment.
Probationary Employees means those new regular and relief employees who occupy established positions for a probationary period of sixty (60) scheduled working days in the same position and whose employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period with one (1) days’ notice.

Examples of Probationary Employees in a sentence

  • Probationary Employees who continue in the service of the Company beyond the first 1,040 hours of actual work shall receive full Continuous Service credit from their original date of hire.

  • Probationary Employees will accumulate PTO allowance during their probationary periods but may not utilize such leave until attaining seniority.

More Definitions of Probationary Employees

Probationary Employees. Unit members with probationary employment status shall be evaluated twice each school year.
Probationary Employees means and include those employees employed during the first six months of service in any established position. All employees are to receive written notification of the completion of their probation period, with a copy of said notification to be sent to the Business Agent of the Association.
Probationary Employees. The term "probationary employees” applies to employees who are hired by the Corporation as part of the permanent establishment, and will be designated as permanent employees after satisfactorily completing their probationary period.

Probationary Employees are those employees who are employed with the understanding that they will become regular employees upon successfully completing a probationary period of six (6) months continuous service, excluding time scheduled for but not worked, provided that they have the requisite ability and qualifications. However, during the probationary period the Company may lay-off, discipline, discharge or rehire such employees with or without cause, and such action shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration provisions of this Agreement. Employees retained by the Company after their probationary periods shall be considered as regular employees and shall be immediately credited with six (6) months of seniority.
Probationary Employees. Probationary employees shall have no right to appeal any form of discipline or discharge in any manner. DAY or WORKING DAY: This shall mean calendar day, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Legal Holidays.
Probationary Employees means new employees that have not completed the initial probationary period. The probationary period starts with the date of hire and continues for 6 months after the completion of all initial training phases. For employees that complete all initial training phases before 6 months of employment, the probationary period shall not be less than 1 year from their date of hire. For employees that complete all initial training phases after 1 year of employment, the probationary period shall not exceed 18 months from their date of hire.
