Attendance at Conferences. Should the Employer require an employee to attend a conference, the employee’s expenses shall be reimbursed by the Board according to the policies of the Board.

Attendance at Conferences. Employees authorized or directed by the Mayor or the Director of Public Safety to attend a conference, convention, school, seminar, work shop or other training or educational function relating to the employee's duty assignment or other function of municipal concern will be reimbursed for the employee's reasonable and necessary expenses incurred, such as registration fees and tuition, meals, lodging, gratuities, vehicle parking, tolls and common carrier fares. Reimbursement for meals and gratuities for meals will be up at the applicable federal per diem rates at the time of the conference. There shall be no reimbursement for the cost of any alcoholic beverages. When travel is directed in the employee's own vehicle, the employee will be reimbursed at the rate per mile as authorized by the State of Ohio at the time of travel. No reimbursement will be made without proof or certification of such expenditures submitted with the employee's claim for reimbursement. Reimbursement of gratuities for meals shall be limited to twenty percent (20%) of the total bill for each meal. When submitting requests for reimbursement provided under this section, Employees must submit the request on the form provided by the City which details the date on which each expense was incurred and the specific cost of each item for which the Employee seeks reimbursement. The reimbursement request form shall be accompanied by itemized receipts, if applicable for the costs the employee seeks to have reimbursed by the City. When payment in advance of attendance and travel is authorized by the Mayor or Safety Director, any amount due and owing the City by the employee shall be repaid to the City upon the employee's completion of attendance and travel. Employees will not be compensated for hours of attendance at the forgoing functions unless they were otherwise scheduled to work those hours or attendance at the function is ordered by the Chief of Police.
Attendance at Conferences. 7.11.1 Subject to prior written District approval, employees may attend national, state or local conferences. Actual and necessary expenses shall be paid within the limitations of the funds allocated for this purpose. The approval of the Superintendent or designee must be secured for reimbursement of expenses.

Teachers shall not be required to pay registration fees for conferences or institutes required by the Diocese of Youngstown, Office of Catholic Schools.

The County agrees to reimburse a full-time faculty member for expenses up to Eight Hundred and Fifty ($850.00) Dollars every two years for a full-time faculty member for attending one or more professional conferences of his/her choice with the recommendation of the appropriate administrative officer from September 1 to August 31 each academic year. Effective 9/02, the reimbursement for expenses shall be increased to nine hundred and fifty ($950.00) dollars. Effective 9/04, the reimbursement for expenses shall be increased to one thousand fifty ($1,050.00) dollars. Expense reimbursement shall be in accord with the applicable County guidelines per conference regardless of the location of the conference or the date of application for conference attendance. Recommendation shall not be refused for a conference professionally connected to the faculty member's discipline or his/her professional responsibilities or retraining program. Permission shall not be refused for faculty members who do not have scheduled duties on the date of a conference which would otherwise be proper under the above rules. The appropriate Administrator shall have discretion to approve one or more members who have scheduled duties, if this seems desirable. If application for conference attendance is submitted at least six (6) weeks in advance of such conference, the faculty member shall receive at least two (2) weeks' prior notice from the Administration concerning the application. 2. The faculty member shall have the option to take a College car or his/her personal vehicle or travel by mass transit. Mileage claims for use of personal vehicle or mass transportation will be in accordance with County guidelines.

Attendance at Conferences. An employee may attend at school expense such conferences, conventions, and workshops that will improve the employee's efficiency and knowledge of his/her particular work and connected to District and/or personal professional goals. a. Permission must be obtained from the administration for all professional improvement opportunities, including, but not limited to conferences, conventions, and workshops b. A complete cost report must be maintained. c. An oral report may be made to the Board of Education upon request and to all other groups that may gain from the experience. d. A brief written report may be requested to be submitted to the administration and/or Board of Education.
Attendance at Conferences. Subject to budgetary constraints, unit members attending District approved overnight conferences shall have a choice of individual or shared accommodations.
