Groundwater Trigger Levels Sample Clauses

Groundwater Trigger Levels. Groundwater trigger levels have been established for three categories of groundwater monitoring xxxxx – Operational, Intermediate and Downgradient – as shown in Table 6-1. The groundwater TTLF includes numeric triggers with required responses when exceeded for total phosphorus and total inorganic nitrogen; and dissolved arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, lead, manganese, nickel, and zinc. The GNA AMP Tiered Trigger Levels for groundwater were developed to support the GNA goal of maintaining GNA-defined baseline water quality conditions at the mine permit boundary. Tiered trigger values reduce in concentration in the Response Framework, as the groundwater monitoring locations increase in distance between the point of discharge and permit boundary. As Tiered Trigger Levels increase they require more responsive actions in the Response Framework. Operational groundwater xxxxx in the GNA AMP are identified as EBMW-6 and EBMW-7. Operational groundwater locations are in close proximity to mine discharge facilities and will be monitored and reported on for notification purposes only. These locations require monitoring as defined in Table 3-1 and Table 3-2. Intermediate groundwater xxxxx at the East Boulder Mine in the GNA AMP are identified as EBMW-12 and EBMW-13. These xxxxx are located approximately halfway between the TSF and the mine operating permit disturbance boundary and MPDES groundwater mixing zone boundary. The Intermediate groundwater xxxxx will be monitored according to Table 3-1 and Table 3-2 requirements, compared to the Intermediate Trigger values, and subject to the action steps defined in the Response Framework (Section 7.0) when in exceedance of Intermediate Trigger Level concentrations. Downgradient groundwater xxxxx in the GNA AMP are identified as EBMW-10 and EBMW-11. These xxxxx are located near the mine operating permit disturbance boundary and represent the MPDES and Operating Permit groundwater mixing zone boundary. These xxxxx will be monitored according to Table 3-1 and Table 3-2 requirements. The Downgradient xxxxx will be compared to the Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Trigger values, and subject to the action steps defined in the Response Framework (Section 7.0) when in exceedance of these standards.
