Hiring into Non-Union Positions. If a member accepts a Management position, they no longer accrue seniority during the period they are not a member of the Union. They shall maintain their bumping rights for a period equal to their seniority up to a maximum of six (6) months from the date they started the Management position. If they return to the Union within the period equal to their seniority up to a maximum of a six (6) month period, their seniority is returned to them, except for the period of time they were not a member of the Union. An employee, who has been out of the Union for a period greater than their seniority to a maximum of six (6) months in a Management position, will have no bumping rights. The only method of returning to the Union is through a Job Vacancy Posting. After 6 months, previous Union seniority will not be returned to them. If a member accepts a non-Union position, they no longer accrue seniority during the period they are not a member of the Union. They shall maintain their bumping rights for a period equal to their seniority up to a maximum of twelve (12) months from the date they started the non-Union position. If they return to the Union within the period equal to their seniority up to a maximum of a twelve (12) month period, their seniority is returned to them, except for the period of time they were not a member of the Union. An employee, who has been out of the Union for a period greater than their seniority to a maximum of twelve (12) months in a non-Union job, will have no bumping rights. The only method of returning to the Union is through a Job Vacancy Posting. After 12 months, previous Union seniority will not be returned to them. The Union must be notified if an employee accepts any Management or non-Union position.

  • Women- and Minority-Owned Businesses (W/MBE) The Subrecipient will use its best efforts to afford small businesses, minority business enterprises, and women’s business enterprises the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in the performance of this contract. As used in this cataract, the terms “small business” means a business that meets the criteria set forth in section 3(a) of the Small Business Act, as amended (15 U.S.C. 632), and “minority and women’s business enterprise” means a business at lease fifty-one (51) percent owned and controlled by minority group members or women. For the purpose of this definition, “minority group members” are Afro- Americans, Spanish-speaking, Spanish surnamed or Spanish-heritage Americans, Asian-Americans and American Indians. The Subrecipient may rely on written representation by businesses regarding their status as minority and female business enterprises in lieu of an independent investigation.

  • New Positions A. Each newly created position shall be assigned by the Employer to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position within thirty (30) days after its creation. Before such assignment of each new position the Employer shall consult with the Union for the purpose of assigning the new position to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position. The following criteria shall be used in making this determination:

  • VACANCIES, TERM POSITIONS AND NEW POSITIONS 3001 Subject to section 3002 herein, the Employer agrees to post notices of vacant, term or new positions covered under this Agreement for at least seven (7) days to enable nurses presently in the employ of the Employer to apply for same. Such posting shall not preclude the Employer from advertising outside the site premises. All postings shall state minimum qualifications required, the equivalent to full-time (E.F.T.) and date of closing of the competition. Job descriptions shall be available to applicants on request. 3002 The Employer will be required to post a notice of vacancy for only five (5) days for a vacancy that is created by:

  • Public Procurement 1. The Parties consider the liberalization of their respective public procurement markets as an objective of this Agreement.

  • Vacant Positions An employee on the reinstatement roster may bid on a vacant position in a different classification in the same manner as any other regular employee pursuant to this agreement.

  • Permanent Positions All part-time and full-time positions shall be permanent unless identified as being fixed term in accordance with clause 2.2.5.
