Job Vacancy Posting. The Port agrees to post examination announcements for represented positions on the official Port bulletin board outside of the Port Personnel Department. Announcements for examinations conducted by the Port Personnel Department will be posted no later than ten (10) working days before that application filing date. Announcements for examinations conducted by the City of Oakland Personnel Department will be posted one (1) day after receipt from the Port of Oakland. Examination announcements and application forms for represented positions will be available through the Port Personnel Department. The Port will also transmit and post, as soon as possible, copies of examination announcements for represented positions at the Harbor Facilities office, Construction Department office, the Airport Facilities office, the Main Port Building at 000 Xxxxx Xxxxxx, and Building M104 at the South Airport. In addition, the Port will transmit copies of examination announcements for represented positions to the Union as soon as possible. The posting sites may be changed by mutual agreement.

Job Vacancy Posting. 9.1.1 All unit vacancies shall be posted on bulletin boards at each work site and a copy sent via electronic mail to all bargaining unit members by the District not less than seven (7) days at designated work locations prior to being permanently filled. Any employee may apply for a vacant position with the Human Resources Department. Bargaining unit transfer requests shall be considered pursuant to Article 10 prior to any hiring process being initiated by the District.

Job Vacancy Posting. As the parties transition the stores to the New Work Model, the parties shall remain committed to providing movement opportunities for employees while maintaining the need for stores to remain financially viable. All employees will use their hire date to apply for job vacancy postings. Once the parties deem the New Work Model transition process complete, the following process shall commence. A job vacancy is created when a Grid A employee terminates employment. All job vacancies will be posted in-store and electronically for ten (10) days. All employees are eligible to apply for Job Vacancy postings. Positions shall be filled by seniority provided the employee is able to perform the normal requirements of the job. In cases where technical training is required (eg. Pharmacy Assistant or Regulated Pharmacy Technician), the successful applicant must possess the appropriate experience or have successfully completed the approved training program (which is only available externally). Job postings are awarded by Seniority and the successful applicant must possess the qualifications required. Job vacancies will be posted to the province. First priority shall go to applicants within the store’s Geographic Area. In the event the posting goes unfilled within the Geographic Area, the most senior qualified applicant in the province shall be awarded the posting. Geographic Areas are as follows:

  • Vacancy Posting All vacancies shall be posted in a conspicuous place in each building of the district for a period of ten (10) workdays. Said posting shall contain the following information:

  • JOB POSTING Where a permanent vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit is established by the Hospital, such vacancy shall be posted for a period of seven (7) consecutive calendar days. Applications for such vacancy shall be made in writing within the seven (7) day period referred to herein. Where the end of the seven (7) days falls on a weekend, or a holiday (as defined in Article L.18.1), the posting will close on the first business day following. The postings shall stipulate the job title, department, campus, status, number of vacancies, shift rotation where applicable, classification, rate of pay, normal requirements of the position, work location where applicable as determined by the Employer (unit, work area, sector), and normal hours of work. A copy of the job description for the position shall be made available for review by an interested applicant by the Human Resources Department upon request. A copy of all job postings shall be emailed to the local Union office the day prior to the initial posting of the position. It is understood that the hours of work on the job posting is for information purposes only. The Hospital agrees that it shall post permanent vacant positions within thirty (30) calendar days of the position becoming vacant, unless the Hospital provides the Union notice under Article 9.08 of its intention to eliminate the position. In matters of promotion and staff transfer appointment shall be made of the senior applicant able to meet the normal requirements of the job. Successful employees need not be considered for other vacancies within a six (6) month period unless an opportunity arises which allows the employee to change his or her permanent status. The name of the successful applicant will be posted on the bulletin boards for a period of seven (7) calendar days. Where there are no successful applicants from within this bargaining unit for vacant positions referred to in this Article, employees in other CUPE bargaining units at the Hospital will be selected in accordance with the criteria for selection above, prior to considering persons who are not member of CUPE bargaining units at the Hospital. The employees eligible for consideration shall be limited to those employees who have applied for the position in accordance with this Article, and selection shall be made in accordance with this Article. The successful applicant shall be allowed a trial period of up to thirty (30) days, during which the Hospital will determine if the employee can satisfactorily perform the job. Within this period the employee may voluntarily return, or be returned by the Hospital to the position formerly occupied, without loss of seniority. The vacancy resulting from the posting may be filled on a temporary basis until the trial period is completed. A list of vacancies filled in the preceding month under this Article and the names of the successful applicants will be posted, with a copy provided to the Union.

  • Job Postings The employee may apply for a job posting at either home based on their seniority at the designated employer. The vacancy will be filled in accordance with Article 9 of the collective agreement. Where seniority is the deciding factor the most senior candidate will be selected regardless of which home her/his seniority was accumulated.

  • JOB VACANCIES ‌ A vacancy shall be defined as a newly created position, a present position that is not filled, or any position anticipated to be open in the near future for any reason such as, but not limited to, retirement, resignation, etc., if the Employer intends to fill the position. The employee is responsible for periodic review and update of his/her application material. S-14-4 The Employer shall determine at the earliest possible time whether a vacant position will be filled. If a position is officially eliminated, the Employer will notify the Association within five (5) working days of the decision. The Association may request a Special Conference to discuss this matter. S-14-5 Once a position has been posted with an established application deadline date, the position will be filled at the earliest possible time. The Employer shall notify the Association of situations where unforeseen circumstances may impede the normal selection process. S-14-6 Employees who have supervised students or temporary employees should so note on their application material so that it may be taken into consideration in the screening process. S-14-7 The Employer shall provide to the Association a log listing the ST employees who applied for each vacancy, and the name of the person hired for the position. S-14-8 It is understood that employees, with their supervisor's permission, may be given release time for the purpose of bidding on positions available at the University. Employees may also be given, with their supervisor's permission, release time to interview for the positions. It is understood that supervisors shall be reasonable in granting such requests. S-14-9 In the event of a job opening where shift work is a factor, all employees in the same classification shall have the right to apply for a transfer to the shift in question with the employee having the most seniority in that classification being granted the transfer upon approval of the appropriate administrator. If the transfer is not granted, reasons for the denial shall be provided to the Association and the employee.
