Common use of Holiday Premium Pay Clause in Contracts

Holiday Premium Pay. If an Employee is required to work an established shift on a holiday listed in Article 21.01 which the Employee is scheduled to be off and has received less than seventy-two (72) hours notice, the Employee shall be compensated at the rate of two (2) times the Employee’s regular hourly rate for the shift worked. Full-Time Employees shall receive seven and one-half (7.5) hours off later in lieu of the holiday. If notice has been given at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the holiday, the Employee will be paid one and one-half (1½x) times the Employee’s regular hourly rate for all hours worked. Full-Time Employees shall receive seven and one-half (7.5) hours off later in lieu of the holiday.
