Pay for Holiday Worked. An employee who is scheduled and does work on a recognized holiday shall be paid for the number of hours actually worked at one and one half times his/her regular rateof pay in addition to his/her regular pay.
Pay for Holiday Worked. An employee required to work on New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day or Christmas shall receive one and one-half (1½x) the normal rate of pay for the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime worked performed on a holiday shall be compensated at double the employee’s regular rate of pay in addition to holiday pay.
Pay for Holiday Worked. Employees required to work on a holiday recognized by this agreement shall be paid straight time pay for the holiday for a regular shift plus straight time pay for the hours actually worked on the holiday. Regular pay plus double time on Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Friday also).
Pay for Holiday Worked. 17 Employees who are required to work on a University holiday will receive pay at 18 time and a half their normal rate for hours actually worked on that holiday plus 19 regular pay for the balance of the hours in the employee's standard workday, if any, 20 not worked on that holiday. In addition, the employee shall receive compensatory 21 time off equal to the number of hours worked on that holiday, not to exceed the 22 employee's standard workday. 24 Alternatively, at the discretion of the University, employees who are required to 25 work on a University holiday may opt to receive two and one-half (2 ½) times the 26 straight time rate and no accrued compensatory time off. Alternately, at the 27 discretion of the University, employees who are required to work on a University 28 holiday may opt to receive straight time pay for hours worked together with the 29 compensatory time at one and one-half (1 ½) times hours worked up to a maximum 30 of eight (8) hours. 32 For June 19 (Juneteenth), July 4 and Winter Holiday period, employees may opt 33 for application of the Holiday Pay for Employees Regularly Scheduled to Work 34 Weekends addendum to University Policy 6.9, Time Away from Work. 35 Employees must request the application of this addendum for June 19 and July 4 36 by June 1st and for the Winter Holiday period by December 1st. If an employee 37 declines to submit such a request or is not timely in the request, the employee may 38 utilize the other contractual options for the payment of holiday pay.
Pay for Holiday Worked. If an employee works on any of the holidays listed in Article 7. HOLIDAYS, that employee shall, in addition to respective holiday pay, be paid for all hours worked at the rate of time and one-half (1½) of that employee's regular rate of pay. With the exception of campus safety personnel, no employee will be required to work after 7:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve, unless in the event of an emergency. College Emergency: Emergency shall be defined as an unforeseen situation in which college property or the safety of students or staff are potentially at risk, or where the direct delivery of services to students or staff would be impacted.
Pay for Holiday Worked. (non-exempt). If an employee works the holiday the employee will receive holiday premium pay for the hours worked at 1.5 times their regular rate and have the choice between the following:
1. Receive holiday pay of eight (8) hours (pro-rated for FTE); OR
2. Observing the holiday at a later date as a paid day off within three (3) months after the actual holiday.
Pay for Holiday Worked. In the event work is performed on any of the Agreement holidays, double time the rate of pay shall be paid in addition to the holiday pay. This will not apply to Article XXI Birthday Pay.
Pay for Holiday Worked. Any regular employee required to work on a designated holiday (excluding the three (3) floating holidays) shall be paid one and one- half times (11/2x) the employee's regular rate of pay for the hours worked. Overtime worked on a holiday shall be paid two times (2x) the employee's regular rate of pay.
Pay for Holiday Worked. Employees who are required to work on a University holiday will receive pay at time and a half their normal rate for hours actually worked on that holiday plus holiday pay. Any employee who is scheduled to work on a holiday and fails to report to work shall forfeit holiday pay and be subject to disciplinary action, unless the employee is able to substantiate a reasonable cause for absence. If an employee is scheduled off on a day that is a designated university holiday, the employee would be entitled to under the SU/DPSOU collective bargaining agreement, the holiday will be “banked” for use by that employee at a later date during that fiscal year. As with all requests for time off, scheduling of use of the “banked” holiday will be subject to approval by the employee’s supervisor. (See also Article XVI, Section 7d) Any employee who works a regularly scheduled day that falls on the day that a university holiday is observed will be paid at a rate of time and a half for hours worked on that day and will be allowed to bank an equivalent number of hours for use at a future date. Unless otherwise specified in this agreement, the time banked must be used by June 30 of the same academic year during which it was earned. As with all requests for time off, scheduling of use of the “banked” holiday will be subject to approval by the employee’s supervisor.
