Holidays Observed – Part-Time Employees. When a holiday is observed by the County, each part time employee is entitled to observe the holiday in the same ratio as his/her number of position hours bears to forty (40) hours, multiplied by eight (8) hours, without a reduction in pay. For example, a part time employee whose position hours are 24 per week is entitled to 4.8 hours off work on a holiday (24/40 x 8 = 4.8).
