Inclusive Value Chain Development. This Sub-Component comprises activities supporting the further development of selected value chains. This Sub-Component shall identify the key drivers of the value chains including inter alia processors, exporters, retailers and logistical businesses, and subsequently link the various parts of the value chains in a manner that supports the inclusion of the Target Population: the rural poor. It shall also strengthen cooperation with certification agencies in the Borrower/Recipient and abroad that are needed to penetrate new markets and niches, and allow for greater synergies with the other Components, utilising a demand driven and flexible approach that avoids rigid bundling of Programme activities.

Inclusive Value Chain Development. The outcome of this component is enhanced capacity for sustainable and efficient performance of targeted stakeholders and aimed to create an enabling business environment for agribusinesses in selected value chains (VC) with strong backward linkages with smallholder producers; and to strengthen the capacities of the farmers and other stakeholders of those VCs. Three activities are being implemented under this component: (i) Value Chain Mapping exercises based on Rapid Market Assessment results for small ruminants, fisheries, sericulture and honey prepared during the design; (ii) Rapid Market Assessments of additional sub- sectors; and (iii) Preparation of VC development Roadmaps for LEs.

  • Career Development The City and the Union agree that employee career growth can be beneficial to both the City and the affected employee. As such, consistent with training needs identified by the City and the financial resources appropriated therefore by the City, the City shall provide educational and training opportunities for employee career growth. Each employee shall be responsible for utilizing those training and educational opportunities made available by the City or other institutions for the self- development effort needed to achieve personal career goals.

  • Independent Development Receiving Party may currently or in the future be developing information internally, or receiving information internally, or receiving information from other parties that may be similar to the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information.   • Joint Development If joint development is involved, the Recipient agrees to follow the latest edition of FTA Circular 7050.1, “Federal Transit Administration Guidance on Joint Development.”

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • Sustainable Development 4.1 The Authority will review the Contractor’s Sustainable Development Policy Statement and Sustainable Development Plan submitted by the Contractor in accordance with the Schedule (Sustainable Development Requirements) and then at least annually thereafter. 4.2 Sustainable Procurement Risk Assessment Methodology (SPRAM) is a tool used by the Authority to identify and mitigate any potential risks to sustainability in contracts. The process requires that each Contract be assessed for its potential social, economic and environmental risks, throughout the various stages of its lifetime. Where risks are identified, appropriate mitigation action is required to reduce or eliminate the risk to sustainability. The Authority may at times require input from the Contractor in order to ensure that this process is given the required levels of consideration.

  • Staff Development ‌ The County and the Association agree that the County retains full authority to determine training needs, resources that can be made available, and the method of payment for training authorized by the County. Nothing in this subsection shall preclude the right of an employee to request specific training.
