INFORMATION CONSULTATION meaning and content Information and consultation are conducted in a timely manner, on the one hand to guarantee the collective expression of employees’ transnational interests in the decision-making process, based on available and sufficiently detailed information, and on the other hand, to guarantee the effective functioning of the Group. The content of the information transmitted to workers’ representatives who are EWC members should enable them to make a detailed assessment of the potential impact of any envisaged measure and to prepare consultation if necessary. Consultation is guaranteed through the establishment of an exchange of views between EWC workers’ representatives and the General Management, based on the information provided. This consultation establishes a dialogue and should make the provision of answers to the questions raised possible. Thus, all the conditions will be fulfilled for the members of the EWC employees’ group to express their views as soon as the consultation prior to the definitive decision is complete and to ensure the efficient functioning of the Group. Once the information and consultation process has been completed and in the event that the opinion expressed by the employees’ group is not shared by the General Management, the Select Committee (SC) will meet at its request with the General Management in order to examine ways to implement the new measures, while continuing to respect the competencies of the national representative bodies.
