INITIAL NOTICE OF LAY-OFFS. If the Board acts to terminate a position(s) within the system the Board shall give notification of termination(s) to the teacher selected according to the approved criteria. The primary criteria for selection a teacher to be released shall be the ratings on the Tulsa/TLE calculated to the one-hundredth (1/100) percent. In the event two (2) or more teachers are equally eligible for termination based upon their Tulsa/TLE ratings, the notification of termination shall be given to the teacher having the least seniority. For the purpose of this procedure, seniority will be computed from a teacher's most recent date of hire in the local system, and will begin to accrue as of the first day of actual service in the local system.
