Criteria for Selection a. The Sabbatical Selection Committee shall use four (4) criteria for selection of academic employees to receive sabbaticals. These are: the merit of the sabbatical project, the applicant’s current and previous contributions to the College community, the proposal’s relevancy to the College’s Strategic Plan and whether or not the applicant has had a previous sabbatical. In instances where these criteria are equal, seniority shall be the determining factor. b. The Committee shall judge written sabbatical proposals along with oral interviews for merit of content.

Criteria for Selection. The selection of unit members to be granted sabbatical leave shall be: A. The relative value to the District of the proposed program as submitted by an eligible applicant. B. The relationship of sabbatical leave activities to the present assignment of the unit member. C. Whether or not the applicant had previously been granted a sabbatical leave. D. If other criteria are equal, the seniority of the unit member shall prevail.
Criteria for Selection. The criteria for selecting taxpayers to participate in the PFA program include, but are not limited to: (1) Whether the specific issue presented by the taxpayer’s facts is an eligible issue under section 3 of this revenue procedure and is otherwise suitable for the PFA program; (2) The direct or indirect impact of a PFA upon other years, issues, taxpayers, or related cases; (3) Whether Service resources are available; (4) Whether the taxpayer is willing and able to dedicate sufficient resources to the PFA process; (5) Whether the PFA is likely to result in two or more persons taking contrary positions on an item or transaction (a “whipsaw” issue); (6) The time remaining until the due date and expected filing date, if earlier than the due date, of the earliest return to which the PFA relates; and (7) The overall probability of completing the process and entering into a PFA by the proposed date for filing the earliest return to which the PFA relates. Early submission of a request will facilitate completion of a PFA before any associated returns become due. As a result, early requests are more likely to be selected for the PFA program and the Service urges taxpayers to submit PFA requests as early as possible.

Any presently employed employee who is qualified to fill a vacant position by meeting the criteria established for the position satisfactorily and who proves capable of filling such position while currently employed in another position in the Nassau County Schools without in any way adversely affecting job performance of the presently held position or adversely affecting assigned duties or responsibilities may apply for and be considered for such position. 2. Selection shall be made based on criteria as established by the office of the Superintendent and any such applicant shall be considered along with all other applicants applying for a position in the Nassau County Schools. 3. In the Board's determination in filling a posted vacant position, serious consideration shall be given to qualified current employees. Employees currently working in the Nassau County Schools who meet all criteria as established herein shall be given priority consideration in the selection process to fill vacant positions. 4. Voluntary transfer shall be based on seniority providing merit and ability are equivalent whenever two or more employees request transfer to the same position. 5. Transfer requests shall not be accepted for any position that could create a bumping situation during the school year. 6. No temporary employee shall be employed as full time personnel before the vacancy is posted in keeping with this article. 7. The Superintendent shall have the option to temporarily fill the vacancy for at least fifteen (15) working days.
Criteria for Selection. The Professional Leave Committee shall use two (2) criteria for selection of an academic employee to recommend for a professional leave: the merit of the project and the applicant's current and previous contributions to the College community. In instances where these criteria are equal, seniority as well as past professional leaves taken may be additional determining factors.

Criteria for Selection. The successful Proposer(s), if any, will be the Proposer(s) who submit a response to this RFP on or before the Submittal Deadline, and whose response is the best value UNTS, taking into consideration the evaluation criteria contained herein. Criteria for Selection. 1. Positions Other than Driver Education a. Applicants will be considered if the vacancy is within the scope of their major or minor field. If there are no applicants with a major or minor needed for the position, other applicants may be considered. (Major or minor field will be recorded on a valid Michigan Certificate.) b. Applicants teaching credited academic courses must have a valid Michigan Certificate. c. If, as a result of the posting of a position, no certified teacher applies for a non-credit or non-academic course, then a non-certified but qualified teacher may be considered. d. Applicants will be offered employment according to the highest number of years within the system. 2. An applicant may be denied a position only if his/her most recent professional evaluation or his/her professional evaluation from the previous summer is less than satisfactory.
