Inland Transport. Notwithstanding any other provision hereof, this Agreement does not authorize the Parties to jointly negotiate, agree upon, or jointly contract for freight rates or charges, or other terms of the transportation of cargo to be paid by any person to rail carriers, motor carriers, or other domestic carriers for transportation within the United States; provided that the Chassis Pool may engage a motor carrier or carriers to reposition or recover Chassis within the scope of this Agreement. Agreements hereunder with an owner or operator of a Marine Terminal or Inland Intermodal Terminal with respect to siting of the Chassis Pool, or the use, license or lease of its property for the establishment or operation of the Chassis Pool, shall not be deemed to be an agreement with respect to transportation within the United States.

Inland Transport. The UN/ECE Secretariat and the BSEC PERMIS will jointly promote the development of international transport infrastructure networks, transport and border crossing facilitation, as well as harmonization of safety and environmental norms and standards in the area of transport in the BSEC region, through inter alia accession to and implementation of UN/ECE international transport agreements and conventions by the BSEC member states. Trade, industry and entrepreneurship The UN/ECE Secretariat and the BSEC PERMIS will promote the strengthening of economic ties between the countries of the BSEC region, through harmo nizing rules and regulations in trade and border crossing. Following a request from the member countries of the respective Organizations, the UN/ECE Secretariat will share with the BSEC PERMIS its expertise on trade facilitation and on trade model building for national economies. In particular, UN/ECE will assist BSEC and its Member States in improving the dissemination of trade facilitation information. In order to facilitate and accelerate the development processes in the economies in transition, the UN/ECE Secretariat and the BSEC PERMIS will promote raising funds for major projects through innovative market means, including public and private partnership (PPP). They will join their efforts in support of the development of small and medium enterprises in the countries of the BSEC region.

  • Parking and Transportation ‌ The Union agrees that during the life of this Agreement, the University may apply changes in transportation policy, including adjusting parking and U-Pass fees and criteria for assigning parking spots, to the bargaining unit without the obligation to bargain with the Union. The Union may raise issues and concerns about the University’s parking program at Joint Labor/Management Committee meetings or at ad hoc Labor Management Committee meetings. The Union shall have a standing seat on the University’s committee(s) that work on transportation and parking issues.

  • TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL TIME 12.01 The Employer will provide transportation to and from jobs from the Employer’s shop. If an employee’s car is used for such transportation, the owner shall be paid fifty cents (50¢) per kilometre for such use.
