Common use of JURY DUTY PAY Clause in Contracts

JURY DUTY PAY. 14.1 After one (1) year of service, employees who are regularly employed twenty (20) hours or more per week who are taken from their work for jury service in the Municipal, County, State or Federal Court shall be reimbursed for their loss of wages while actually performing such jury service, provided the employee complies with the following requirements: a. He shall notify the Employer promptly upon receipt of a call for jury duty. b. When he reports for jury duty and is excused by the court, he shall report as soon as possible to the Employer for the purpose of working the balance of the day. Employees that have served a full day as juror, and who are scheduled to commence work after 5:00 P.M., shall not be required to report to work that day. In order to be eligible for such payments, the employee must furnish a written statement from the appropriate public official showing the date and time served and the amount of jury pay received. If his/her regular job is not available, he/she shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Employer.
