Common use of Layoff Status Clause in Contracts

Layoff Status. Displaced nurses who are not qualified for an open bargaining unit position shall be on layoff status as of the date of displacement. Except where otherwise expressly provided, benefits and seniority shall not accumulate during the layoff period. Such nurses may also choose the severance benefit as specified in Appendix C.
