LEAD HAND AND GROUP LEADER DEFINITION. LEAD HAND is an employee who is assigned to co-ordinate the work of other employees in their assigned department will receive a premium of $1.00 per hour. GROUP LEADER is an employee who is assigned to co-ordinate the work of other employees and is responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed and will receive a premium of $1.50 per hour.
