Grievance Definitions. (a) A "grievance" is an allegation or complaint that there has been a violation, misinterpretation, or improper application of the terms and conditions of this Agreement or the Faculty By-Laws of Lincoln which have been incorporated into this Agreement or any complaint alleging improper, arbitrary, or discriminatory enforcement of existing rules, regulations, practices, and/or procedures relating to wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Grievance Definitions. A claim by a certificated employee that there has been an event which is a violation, misinterpretation or misapplication of any provision of this Agreement may be processed as a grievance as described below. The grievance shall address itself to the specific provision(s) of the Agreement that is alleged to have been violated, misinterpreted, or misapplied. The purpose of this grievance procedure is to secure at the lowest possible administrative level a fair solution to grievances of certificated employees.

Municipal Civil Service Commission jurisdiction is limited by agreement of the parties to those matters specified in Ohio Revised Code, Section 4117.08(B). It shall have no jurisdiction in cases of reductions, suspensions, removals or lay-offs, nor in any matter except those specified in Ohio Revised Code, Section 4117.08(B).
