Leave for Attending Society-Related Conferences and Conventions. The Company will provide up to eight (8) person days leave for the purpose of attending related conferences and conventions, subject to operational requirements, per Agreement year; the first four (4) days at full pay, the next four (4) days at half pay or six (6) days at full pay. All requests for such leave must be made by an Officer of the Society to the employee’s Manager; and the Human Resources Manager, Sheridan Park or designate.

Leave for Attending Society-Related Conferences and Conventions. The Company will provide up to eight person days leave for the purpose of attending related conferences and conventions, subject to operational requirements, per Agreement year; the first four days at full the next four days at half pay or six days at full pay. All requests for such leave must be made by an Officer of the Society to the employee's Manager; and the Human Resources Manager, Sheridan Park or designate. Leave of absence without pay, to a reasonable extent each year (exclusive of conciliation and arbitration proceedings) and work conditions permitting, shall be made available to the Society for the purpose of permitting its representatives to attend to related business, other than as provided for herein. Requests for such leave must be made through an Officer of the Society (normally the Secretary) to the employee's Manager and the Human Resources Manager. Leave of absence without pay, to a reasonable extent and work conditions permitting, will be made available to Society representatives in advance of negotiations to permit preparations for that purpose.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Conference Attendance The Federation will be entitled to five (5) person days per year release time for designated Federation representatives to attend conferences. All conference expenses will be the responsibility of the Federation, unless funding is requested and approved through regular District processes for conference attendance.

In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.

  • SPECIAL CONFERENCES Special conferences for important matters may be arranged between the Union and the designated representative of the Board upon the request of either party.
