Leave For Jury Duty or Court Attendance. Employees who are summoned to court to perform jury duty shall be granted leave with pay. Employees who are subpoenaed to attend court or board hearings to testify in matters in which they have no personal or monetary interest shall be granted leave with pay. Employees who due to their College employment are required to attend court as parties to lawsuits will be granted leave with pay. Any remuneration, excluding mileage, received for jury duty or for testifying before a court or board shall be refunded to the College. In any case, leave for jury duty or for court attendance will not be charged to sick leave.

In the case of paid jury services, leave with pay will be granted, provided the employee endorses any jury duty payment received over to the College. An employee eligible for such leave will provide his/her Associate Xxxx of Instruction with a copy of the summons for jury duty, who will notify the Payroll Office.
