LEAVE FOR OCHU PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY. TREASURER Upon application in writing by the Union on behalf of the employee to the Hospital, a leave of absence without pay shall be granted to such employee(s) elected to the positions of the President of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions or the Secretary-Treasurer of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions for period(s) of up to two (2) years. It is understood, however, that during such leave the employee(s) shall be deemed to be an employee of the Union. During such leave of absence seniority and service shall accrue at seven and one-half (7.5) hours per day to a maximum of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week. In addition, during such leave of absence, the employee's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital on the basis of what his normal regular hours of work would have been, provided that the Union reimburses the Hospital in the amount of such salary and applicable benefits within thirty (30) days of billing. The employee agrees to notify the Hospital of his intention to return to work at least four (4) weeks prior to the date of such return. The employee shall be returned to his former duties on the same shift in the same department and at the appropriate rate of pay, subject to any changes which would have occurred had the employee not been on leave. 2.01 the Hospital may fill the vacancy resulting from such leave on a temporary basis.

  • Chairman and Secretary The Local Union shall select the Union representatives and the Chapter shall select the management representatives.

  • President and Vice Presidents The president shall be the chief executive officer of the Trust. The president shall, subject to the control of the Trustees, have general charge and supervision of the business of the Trust. Any vice president shall have such duties and powers as shall be designated from time to time by the Trustees.

  • President Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall preside at all meetings of the shareholders and of the Trustees. Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall be the chief executive officer.

  • Leave, President, O.N.A Upon application in writing by the Association on behalf of the nurse to the Hospital, a leave of absence shall be granted to such nurse elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. Notwithstanding Article 10.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority for a nurse during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the Hospital of her or his intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.

  • Chairman An individual (who need not be a Registered Warrantholder) designated in writing by the Warrant Agent shall be chairman of the meeting and if no individual is so designated, or if the individual so designated is not present within fifteen minutes from the time fixed for the holding of the meeting, the Registered Warrantholders present in person or by proxy shall choose an individual present to be chairman.

  • Vice Chairman In the absence of the Chairman of the Board, the Vice Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the unitholders of the MLP; and he shall have such other powers and duties as from time to time may be assigned to him by the Board of Directors.
