Leave for Pregnant Employees. The Employer shall grant pregnant employees up to a half (1/2) day of reasonable time off with pay for the purpose of attending medical appointments relating to the employee’s pregnancy. An employee is expected to make reasonable efforts to schedule such appointments in such a way as to minimize her absence from work. An employee requesting leave under this provision must notify her supervisor of the appointment as far in advance as possible. Part-time employees shall receive this benefit in the same proportion as their weekly hours of work compare with the normal scheduled weekly hours of work of full-time employees.
Leave for Pregnant Employees. For each routine medical appointment, a pregnant employee will be granted up to three decimal seven five (3.75) hours of reasonable time off with pay.

An Employee is expected to make reasonable efforts to schedule such appointments in such a way so as to minimize their absence from work.   • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.

  • Seasonal Employees Seasonal employees still on trial service should refer to Article 71, Sections 2 and 3 regarding salary increases.
