Leave for the Care and Nurturing of Pre-school Age Children. Relocation of Spouse and Personal Needs a) Subject to operational requirements, an employee shall be granted leave for the personal care and nurturing of the employee's pre-school age children, relocation of spouse, personal needs and care of a member of the employee's immediate family for whom the employee has care giving responsibility. Care giving responsibility is defined as prime responsibility for providing care to a member of the immediate family who is unable to live independently. Leave will be granted under the following conditions: i) with the exception of clause vii) below, an employee shall notify the Employer in writing four (4) weeks in advance of the commencement date of such leave, unless because of an urgent or unforeseeable circumstance such notice cannot be given; ii) in the case of care and nurturing for pre-school age children leave without pay granted under this clause shall be for a minimum period of six (6) weeks to a maximum of 5 years; iii) in the case of relocation, leave without pay for a period of up to one (1) year shall be granted to an employee whose spouse is permanently relocated and up to five (5) years to an employee whose spouse is temporarily relocated; iv) subject to operational requirements, leave without pay for a period of up to three (3) months will be granted to an employee for personal needs; v) subject to operational requirements, leave without pay for a period in excess of three (3) days and up to one (1) year will be granted to an employee for personal needs; vi) an employee is entitled to leave without pay for personal needs only once under each of iv) and v) of this clause during their total period of employment with the Museum. Leave without pay granted under this clause may not be used in combination with maternity and parental leave without the consent of the Employer. vii) Subject to operational requirements, leave without pay for personal reasons of up to three (3) days will be granted.   • Family Care and Medical Leave An unpaid Family Care and Medical Leave shall be granted, to the extent of and subject to the restrictions as set forth below, to an employee who has been employed for at least twelve (12) months and who has served for 130 workdays during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the effective date of the leave. If providing cloud computing services for System Agency that are subject to the state risk and authorization management program, Contractor certifies it will maintain program compliance and certification throughout the term of the Contract.

  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act The Charter School is subject to all provisions of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. § 1232g. Upon written request to the Superintendent or designate from the Ministry of Education, an employee who is appointed or elected to the BC Teachers’ Council or appointed to the Disciplinary or Professional Conduct Board shall be entitled to a leave of absence with pay and shall be deemed to be in the full employ of the board as defined in Article G.6.1. 2. Upon written request to the superintendent or designate from the Ministry of Education, a teacher teaching on call (TTOC) who is appointed or elected to the BC Teachers’ Council or appointed to the Disciplinary and Professional Conduct Board shall be considered on leave and shall be deemed to be in the full employ of the Board as defined in Article A.10.1 above. TTOCs shall be paid in accordance with the collective agreement. 3. Leave pursuant to Article A.10.1 and A.10.2 above shall not count toward any limits on the number of days and/or teachers on leave in the provisions in Article G.6.
