In the event a City Parks and Recreation Department employee is elected or appointed to a public office in the City, County, or State, the City shall grant such employee a leave of absence without pay, not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days per year, while they are performing public service. The employee must request in advance and in writing the aforementioned leave of absence without pay.
