Length of Employment Beyond Normal School Year. All conditions pertaining to the length of employment beyond the normal school year are prerogatives of the Board of Education provided by law. All extended employment must be: ● Requested by the teacher in writing, ● Preapproved by the Superintendent in writing, and ● Documented by the teacher prior to receiving pay. Salary for extended employment shall be equivalent to the teacher’s per diem. Summer School extended employment for certified special education teachers in Extended School Year shall be compensated at the per diem hourly rate of the base salary for the most recently completed school year.
