Federation Membership. All Tenured, Probationary, Temporary, Associate, and Adjunct Professors are represented by the Federation. Membership in the Federation is voluntary. Members are allowed to vote on contract issues, hold elected positions in the Federation, and access union benefits at the local, state, and federal levels. Professors can join the Federation at any point during the year by application. The College will deduct membership dues during the payroll process and remit those funds to the Federation in a timely manner. Professors can withdraw membership during the month of June, or within 30 days of their return to contract in the academic year, by written notice to both the Federation and Human Resources.
Federation Membership. 1. As a condition of employment, each Faculty member in the Bargaining Unit on or before the sixtieth (60th) day after the effective date of this Agreement or on or before the sixtieth (60th) day after employment in the Bargaining Unit, whichever is later, and regularly thereafter, shall tender to the Federation either periodic and uniformly required Federation dues, or in the alternative, service fees in an amount equal to these dues as set forth in the rules of the Federation.
2. The Employer shall provide to the Federation the name of those Faculty members hired, rehired, reinstated or transferred on or before the tenth (10th) working day after the effective date of such hire, rehire, reinstatement or transfer, and include the following information: address, city, state, zip code, department, salary, highest degree, contract and credit hour, and home phone number.
Federation Membership. Membership or non-membership in the Federation shall be the individual choice of an employee, and employees must affirmatively consent to join the Federation in order to become a member.
Federation Membership. All employees covered by this Memorandum of Understanding who (a) are members of the Federation, or (b) all employees who are thereafter hired shall, as a condition of continued employment, maintain membership in the Federation or pay to the Federation a service fee in an amount not to exceed the then current Federation dues, in order to defray the cost incurred by the Federation in serving as the exclusive representative of employees in accord with the Employee Relations Act of Baltimore County. The provision of this section shall be contingent upon the showing by the Federation, annually, to the Administration that more than thirty percent (30%) of the employees covered by this Memorandum of Understanding are dues paying members of the Federation.
Federation Membership. 00 Membership in the Federation shall not be a requisite for employment in the School Corporation.
Federation Membership. L3.01 All employees shall, as a condition of employment, maintain their Federation membership and be required to pay Federation dues and other amounts chargeable by the Federation or Bargaining Unit.
L3.02 All future employees of the Board covered by this agreement shall, as a condition of continued employment, become members of the Federation on commencing employment with the Board.
Federation Membership. Membership in the Federation shall not be a condition of employment; nor will the College discriminate in hiring or change in rank opportunities or otherwise because of an employee's membership or lawful activities in the Federation or his/her refusal to join such organization or participation in any such activities.
Federation Membership. Teachers shall have the right to join or not join the Federation. The Board shall not discriminate against any teacher with respect to his/her wages, terms, or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Federation, participation in any lawful activities of the Federation, or institution of any grievance under this Agreement.

Federation Membership. 2.1.1 Each member of the bargaining unit is free to join or refrain from joining Sequoia Supervisors’ Federation, affiliated with AFSCME, Local 829.
2.1.2 Any unit member who is a member of Sequoia Supervisors’ Federation, affiliated with AFSCME, Local 829, or has applied for membership may provide a written voluntary dues deduction authorization form to the District.
2.1.3 The District shall deduct dues from the regular salary check of Federation members with authorization on file in accordance with a fee schedule provided by the Federation. The District shall not be obligated to establish, change or discontinue any dues deduction until the pay period commencing ten days or more after such written submission.
2.1.4 The District will provide the Federation with copies of new authorizations submitted by Federation members and of requests to terminate membership dues deductions except when such authorizations and requests have been presented to the District by Federation officials.
2.1.5 Each unit member who, as of the effective date of this Agreement, is a member of the Federation or who becomes a member of the Federation after that date shall maintain his/her membership in the Federation at least until the expiration of this Agreement except that Federation members may withdraw their membership during the thirty (30)-day period immediately preceding the expiration of this contract or as otherwise provided by law.
