Liability for Unauthorized Transactions and Other Errors Sample Clauses
The "Liability for Unauthorized Transactions and Other Errors" clause defines the responsibilities and potential financial exposure of parties in the event of unauthorized account activity or mistakes in processing transactions. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which a user must report suspicious or erroneous transactions, the timeframe for such reporting, and the extent to which the service provider or user is liable for resulting losses. Its core function is to allocate risk between the parties, incentivize prompt reporting, and clarify who bears the cost of errors or fraud, thereby protecting both users and service providers from undue financial harm.
