Common use of Long Term Substitute Clause in Contracts

Long Term Substitute. Refers to substitute teachers who fill the position of an absent regular, licensed or authorized classroom teacher or specialist, if the absence lasts for more than 35 consecutive teaching days. The salary will be at Step 2, Lane 0 without years of experience consideration. Health insurance eligibility will begin after the 60th working day on contract unless a definitive return date of the incumbent is within ten working days after the 60th day or the end of the school year is within ten working days after the 60th day.
