Lunch and Rest Breaks. 1. Employees scheduled to work at least 7 hours in a work day will normally be scheduled for a 60 minute duty-free lunch break without pay at or near the midpoint of the scheduled day. Departmental supervisors may agree to reduce the lunch break to 30 minutes without pay if consistent with service and coverage requirements.
