Training Programs and Conferences. The Association will be granted up to 56 hours of paid release time each fiscal year to be used by designated Association representatives to participate in MEA conferences and training programs. The designated Association representative requesting such time off shall notify the employee’s immediate supervisor as far in advance as possible, but in any event at least five days in advance. Such requests are subject to approval by the supervisor, but such approval will not be unreasonably withheld. Paid time under this Section shall be used in half-day increments. An Association representative using paid time under this Section shall record all such time on the Employer’s regular time reporting system. The Association may carry up to 40 hours of unused time under this Section over to the next year. Time paid under this Section shall not be considered hours worked for purposes of computing overtime premium pay.

Training Programs and Conferences. Designated Union representatives may request time off to attend MEA conferences and training programs. A representative requesting such time off shall notify the employee’s immediate supervisor as far in advance as possible, but in any event at least 14 days in advance. Such requests are subject to approval by the supervisor, but such approval will not be unreasonably withheld. Time off under this Section shall be used in half-day increments. A Union representative taking time off under this Section may use available PTO or may take the approved time off without pay.
Training Programs and Conferences. 1. The Union will be granted up to forty (40) total hours of paid release time each fiscal year to be used by Union officers or representatives, designated by the Union President, to participate in MC3SSU/MEA/NEA conferences and training programs. Requests to attend a conference or meeting will be made at least thirty (30) days in advance to the Executive Director of Human Resources. The Executive Director of Human Resources will coordinate with the appropriate supervisor. Approval by the supervisor must be obtained. Only one employee shall be released from the same department to attend related conferences unless the supervisor approves. This time shall not be used for attendance at sympathy strikes or protests in other districts. All expenses shall be paid by the Union member including hotel, travel, fees, and any other expenses related to the conference or training program. Proof of attendance is required for compensation purposes. Proof may be requested by the Executive Director of Human Resources.

Related to Training Programs and Conferences

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Pre-Job Conferences a) The Employer will notify the Union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference will be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in this Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties.

  • Training Plan Within 90 days after the Effective Date, Good Shepherd shall develop a written plan (Training Plan) that outlines the steps Good Shepherd will take to ensure that: (a) all Covered Persons receive adequate training regarding Good Shepherd’s CIA requirements and Compliance Program, including the Code of Conduct and (b) all Relevant Covered Persons receive adequate training regarding: (i) the Federal health care program requirements regarding eligibility for hospice services upon initial admission, recertification for continued stay, and for Continuous Care, Respite Care, and General Inpatient Care; (ii) the role of physicians in making eligibility determinations; (iii) the accurate coding and submission of claims; (iv) policies, procedures, and other requirements applicable to the documentation of medical records; (v) the personal obligation of each individual involved in the claims submission process to ensure that such claims are accurate; (vi) applicable reimbursement statutes, regulations, and program requirements and directives; (vii) the legal sanctions for violations of the Federal health care program requirements; and (viii) examples of proper and improper eligibility determinations, documentation, and claims submission practices. The Training Plan shall include information regarding the training topics, the categories of Covered Persons and Relevant Covered Persons required to attend each training session, the length of the training, the schedule for training, and the format of the training. Within 30 days of the OIG’s receipt of Good Shepherd’s Training Plan, OIG will notify Good Shepherd of any comments or objections to the Training Plan. Absent notification by the OIG that the Training Plan is unacceptable, Good Shepherd may implement its Training Plan. Good Shepherd shall furnish training to its Covered Persons and Relevant Covered Persons pursuant to the Training Plan during each Reporting Period.

  • Labor Management Conferences The Union and the Employer mutually agree that in the interest of efficient management and harmonious employee relations, meetings shall be held between Union and Employer representatives when appropriate. Such meetings shall be scheduled within one week of either party submitting an agenda to the other, or at a time mutually agreed upon by the parties, and shall be limited to:

  • Meetings and Conferences ‌ From time to time the Government may require attendance at Government conferences and meetings at no additional cost to the Government.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.

  • Attendance at Conferences and Conventions (a) The parties to this Agreement recognize that attendance or participation at conferences, conventions, symposia, workshops and other gatherings of a similar nature contributes to the maintenance of high professional standards.
