Lunch Period for Six or More Hours of Work. Unit members assigned to six (6) or more hours of work in any day shall be entitled to an unpaid, uninterrupted lunch period. The length of such lunch period shall be not less than one-half (½) hour nor longer than one (1) hour, and shall, for full-time unit members, be scheduled at or about the midpoint of each work shift. The time when the lunch period is scheduled shall be designated by the supervisor.

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided. Matters on which agreement may be reached include:

  • HOURS OF WORK i) Where employees are now working a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly.

  • Lunch Periods All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted lunch period after the employee has been on duty for four (4) hours. The length of time for such lunch period shall be for a period of no longer than one (1) hour nor less than one- half (1/2) hour and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at or about the mid-point of each work shift. An employee required to work during his/her lunch period shall receive compensation at the appropriate rate of pay as determined in this Agreement for all time worked during the normal lunch period.
