Mandated Overtime Continued. Staff who exceed a shift length of sixteen (16) hours shall be provided a minimum of eight (8) hours off before the commencement of their next shift without loss of pay based on their scheduled shifts. It is understood that if all other options have been exhausted to find relief staff to prevent an employee from working in excess of sixteen (16) hours, it shall not be considered contracting out should the on-call or other staff be assigned.
