Relief staff definition

Relief staff means the replacement of direct care staff when the regular direct care staff are on leave and there is a cost component in the direct care hourly rate that covers the cost of relief staff.

Relief staff shall be any person who is hired to relieve the regular full-time or part-time staff on their day's off and when absent from duty due to, for example, sickness, statutory holidays, annual vacation or leave of absence without pay.

Relief staff means any employee hired on an as needed basis to provide coverage when regular full time or part time employees are not working their regularly scheduled shift due to vacation, illness, paid holiday(s) or any other requested or required absence.
