MANDATORY COMPETENCIES. Unless an employee is able to produce authorised evidence of successfully completing an approved mandatory competency, the employee will be required to successfully complete the competencies within the first six months of employment. Each employee is then required to successfully complete mandatory clinical competencies annually. In addition, staff have the following responsibilities: • to take reasonable care of their own health and safety as well as that of other people who may be affected by their conduct in the workplace. • to seek guidance about new or modified work procedures. • to ensure that any hazardous conditions are eliminated or minimised and that near misses and injuries are reported immediately to the supervisor. If the role includes people management duties, these include the requirement to manage the health and safety of people under your control and support the actions contained in SGH OH&S policies.
MANDATORY COMPETENCIES. It is the obligation of employees to complete their mandatory competencies in a timely fashion, and should coordinate with their supervisors to arrange time to do so. Mandatory competencies may be scheduled either during or outside the employees' normally scheduled shifts, in the Hospital's discretion. Nurses shall not be required to perform their nursing duties during the time that they are completing their annual competencies. If mandatory competencies are scheduled after an employee’s normally scheduled shift, the Hospital will make reasonable efforts to schedule such competencies as promptly as possible after the end of such shift.
MANDATORY COMPETENCIES. All staff must undertake compulsory training for their workgroup as outlined according to the annual Compulsory Training Table. The health and wellbeing of employees is a priority for HRH and it is an expectation that employees recognise the importance of an environment that promotes and nurtures the physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing of all individuals. A culture of trust that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing through respect, supportive leadership, employee participation, positivity and shared decision making is expected.
MANDATORY COMPETENCIES. The employee will meet the mandatory clinical and non-clinical competencies under the ADH mandatory competencies program. The employee will be required to show evidence of successfully completing the ADH mandatory competencies, within the first six weeks of commencing the position. It is expected at ADH that each employee must successfully complete mandatory competencies at least annually (where relevant).

  • Competencies The following competencies apply to this position. The employee will be assessed against these as part of their annual performance and development review.

  • Cultural Competence 1. Grantee will make reasonable efforts to provide services that meet each client’s individual needs and takes into consideration the intellectual functioning, literacy, level of education and comprehension ability of each client in order to ensure that all information is presented in a way that meets each client’s individual needs. 2. Grantee will provide services in the client's primary language either directly by Grantee or by a DFPS approved translator. 3. Grantee will have a cultural competence mission statement, core values or other similar guidance that provides how the Grantee will effectively provide these services to clients of various cultures, races, ethnic backgrounds and religions in a manner that recognizes and affirms the client’s worth, protects and preserves the client’s dignity and ensures equity of service delivery.

  • TEACHING CONDITIONS The parties recognize that optimum school facilities for both student and teacher are desirable to insure the high quality of education that is the goal of both the Association and the Board. It is also acknowledged that the primary duty and responsibility of the teacher is to teach and that the organization of the school and school day should be directed toward ensuring that the energy of the teacher is primarily utilized to this end.

  • Cultural Competency 1. All program staff shall receive at least one (1) in-service training per year on some aspect of providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide County with a schedule of in-service training(s) and a list of participants at each such training. 2. Contractor shall use good faith efforts to translate health-related materials in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide to County copies of Contractor’s health-related materials in English and as translated. 3. Contractor shall use good faith efforts to hire clinical staff members who can communicate with clients in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall submit to County the cultural composition and linguistic fluencies of Contractor’s staff.

  • FLORIDA CONVICTED/SUSPENDED/DISCRIMINATORY COMPLAINTS By submission of an offer, the respondent affirms that it is not currently listed in the Florida Department of Management Services Convicted/Suspended/Discriminatory Complaint Vendor List.

  • Community Based Adult Intensive Service (AIS) and Child and Family Intensive Treatment (CFIT) – AIS/CFIT programs offer services primarily based in the home and community for qualifying adults and children with moderate- to-severe mental health conditions. These programs consist at a minimum of ongoing emergency/crisis evaluations, psychiatric assessment, medication evaluation and management, case management, psychiatric nursing services, and individual, group, and family therapy. This plan covers individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and family therapy when rendered by: • Psychiatrists; • Licensed Clinical Psychologists; • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers; • Advance Practice Registered Nurses (Clinical Nurse Specialists/Nurse Practitioners- Behavioral Health); • Licensed Mental Health Counselors; and • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. This plan covers psychological testing as a behavioral health benefit when rendered by: • neuropsychologists; • psychologists; or • pediatric neurodevelopmental specialists. This plan covers neuropsychological testing as described in the Tests, Labs and Imaging section.

  • Technical Objections to Grievances It is the intent of both Parties of this Agreement that no grievance shall be defeated merely because of a technical error, other than time limitations in processing the grievance through the grievance procedure. To this end, an arbitration board shall have the power to allow all necessary amendments to the grievance and the power to waive formal procedural irregularities in the processing of a grievance, in order to determine the real matter in dispute and to render a decision according to equitable principles and the justice of the case.

  • Teaching Load 11-1 The parties recognize that the number of students, the number of preparations, and the amount of planning time are related to student performance. 11-2 CLASS SIZE 11-2-1 The parties recognize that class size is related to economics and that reduction of class size is faced with fiscal constraints. The parties further recognize that it is not feasible at this time to set general numerical limitations upon class size because of physical space available, special programs, special student needs, attendance area variances, differences in scheduling systems, busing, and because of other variable causes affecting class size. Nevertheless, the parties shall make reasonable effort to maintain class size at reasonable, workable, and educationally effective levels in all situations. 11-3 TEACHER LOAD 11-3-1 Teaching load shall be defined as the number of separate class preparations that a teacher has per school day as delineated in the course description guide.

  • Determination of Responsiveness 28.1 The Procuring Entity's determination of a Tender's responsiveness is to be based on the contents of the Tender itself, as defined in ITT28.2.
