Meal Periods. (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the shift and wherever possible to correspond to dining room facilities where such facilities are available. (b) Meal periods shall be a minimum of 30 and not more than 60 minutes in length as mutually determined by the Union's and the Employer's designated representatives at the local level. An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the time worked shall not exceed the scheduled workday or the applicable overtime rates shall apply.
