Meal Plan Information a. If Resident is a traditionally aged “First Year student” (as defined by the University), under the age of 21, and has not previously lived on-campus, then Resident must obtain and pay for a Residential Meal Plan during the entire License Term regardless of housing assignment. All other Residents are encouraged to purchase a Meal Plan. If Resident has a meal plan, University will combine meal plan and housing charges, both of which are subject to the requirements of Section I above. b. Resident acknowledges there is limited or no food service available during breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer) and the “meal swipe” component of their meal plans are not in effect during these timeframes. Meal Plan Information. (a) Unless exempt by Boise State Dining, all Residents will be automatically enrolled in a Dining Plan through Boise State Dining prior to Move-In Day. Residents residing in housing designated as “sophomore and above” may opt out of a Dining Plan or request an alternate plan by contacting Boise State Dining prior to Move-In Day. Residents residing in housing designated as “first year housing” are required to maintain a Weekly Dining Plan, regardless of whether they are first year students. (b) If Resident is required to maintain a meal plan by this Agreement, the University will select a default meal plan and charge Resident’s account with the cost for such meal plan if Resident has failed or refused to select a meal plan on or before the deadline for payment. (c) Meal plans are administered through Boise State Dining and may also be administered in full or in part by University’s third-party food service provider. All meal plans are subject to the terms and conditions of the Boise State Dining Meal Plan Terms and Conditions, and are subject to exemptions, refunds, termination, and service options as provided in those terms. Limited or no food service may be available during breaks (fall, winter, spring and summer). Notification of food service offerings will be made prior to the break period. Meal plan swipes may not be available during the break period. Termination or cancellation of this License Agreement does not terminate Resident’s meal plan or entitle Resident to a refund of Resident’s meal plan. Meal Plan Information plan is required for all residential students. Sodexo Campus Services is known as a leader in providing quality dining services to universities all over the country. The Residence Life Department is proud of our dining services, featuring many xxxx-to-order items. Upon check in, each resident student will need to validate their student ID card and confirm their meal plan option. Students may not be able to use their meal plan until a meal plan option has been confirmed and the student’s ID card has been validated by the Business Office. Any resident student who does not confirm a meal plan option by the first Monday of each semester will automatically be designated the LS 165 meal plan option. The bulk of the meals are served in the University Café, which is located in our Student Union. All café meals are “all you care to eat” traditional meals.

Lifestyle Meal Plans will begin on the Move-in Date and expire on the day before the end of the License Term, unless sooner terminated under the provisions of this Agreement. Use of the Lifestyle Meal Plans is subject to the following terms: • Meal Swipes can be used in Pack Place, an “all-you-care-to-eat” location. Resident utilizes one Meal Swipe to enter location and access all food options available OR use a to-go container to collect food and beverage items and leave Pack Place. An additional Meal Swipe is required to use a to-go container after eating in the location. Meal Swipes are allocated every Thursday at 12:00 a.m. and expire the following Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. Meal Swipes not used during this period are forfeited and non- refundable. • Meal Trades are a “Meal Swipe” redeemed at select University dining venues for a bundled meal, during designated times, as outlined at each location where Meal Trades are accepted. Each Lifestyle Meal Plan has different limitations related to Meal Trades. • FoodBucks is a declining balance of dollar-for-dollar credit built into the Lifestyle Meal Plans that can be used at any University dining venue (athletic event concessions do not apply). FoodBucks expire 18 months after non-use. • A Guest Pass serves as a Meal Swipe in Pack Place for an individual other than the Resident. Each Lifestyle Meal Plan has different limitations related to Guest Passes. d. Resident acknowledges there is limited or no food service available during breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer) and the “Meal Swipe” component of their meal plans are not in effect during these timeframes. Meal Plan Information a. Available only when dining/cafeteria facilities are open. b. When on-campus dining options are closed, the department will not be responsible for providing meals for the staff. The exception is during scheduled Fall and Spring RA Training as well as Closing procedures, when and if on- campus dining options are not available. During these times, SHRL will provide meals for Resident Advisors. Should the RA decide to eat off-campus, meal expenses will not be reimbursed by SHRL. c. The meal plan compensation is provided to staff members for the purpose of building relationships with residents in the dining halls during the academic year.

Meal Plan Information. Students who reside in Residence Halls are required to select one of the provided meal plan options. Students who live in on-campus apartments are not required to choose a meal plan option, but may do so if they would like. If a student would leave University housing during the contract period, their meal plan charge will be prorated based on the rate due at the end of the week in which the student checks out of housing.
