Common use of Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

Medical Leave. 8-3-1 Employees who are medically disabled and unable to continue work and have exhausted their excused leave benefits or desire to not use accumulated leave may be granted a medical leave of absence without salary for a period not to exceed six (6) months. If employees return to work during the term of the leave, they shall be placed in their previous assignment. Verification of medical disability by a licensed physician shall be required.
