MILITARY AND MARITIME LEAVE. Military and Maritime Leave shall be governed by the provisions of the Federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and any regulations promulgated to implement the Act, and the California Military and Veteran’s Code.

MILITARY AND MARITIME LEAVE. ‌ Military and Maritime Leave shall be governed by the provisions of the Federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and any regulations promulgated to implement the Act, and the California Military and Veteran’s Code. Employees will be granted a leave of absence without pay with appropriate seniority, pay, status and vacation as required by law for the purpose of fulfilling any required military obligation. If allowed by the USERRA and/or the State of California Military and Veteran's Code, where the employee is entitled to receive his/her regular pay during the period of the military leave, military pay is to be deducted from the employee's regular pay from the inception of the military leave.

  • Military Service Leave The Employer and the Union agree that the matter of leave of absence for an employee during the period of his/her military service with the armed forces of the United States, and of his/her reinstatement thereafter, shall be governed by applicable statutes.
