Military Caregiver Leave Entitlements. Subscribers who need to provide care for injured service members may also be eligible for FMLA as follows. FMLA leave for this purpose is called “military caregiver leave”. Military caregiver leave allows an eligible Subscriber who is the spouse, son, daughter, parent or next of kin of a covered service member with a serious injury or illness to take up to a total of 26 workweeks of unpaid leave during a single 12-month period to provide care for the service member. A covered service member is a current member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the National Guard or Reserves, who is receiving medical treatment, recuperation, or therapy, or is in outpatient status, or is on the temporary disability retired list for a serious injury or illness.

  • Sick Leave Entitlement A permanent full-time employee shall earn paid sick leave at the rate of one and one-half (1½) days per month. Sick leave shall accumulate to a total of eighty-five (85) working days. Permanent part-time employees shall be entitled to sick leave on a pro-rata basis.

  • Leave Entitlement An eligible employee is entitled to take up to a total of twelve (12) 41 work weeks of FMLA leave in a 12-month period, to be measured backwards from the 42 commencement date the employee uses FMLA leave. An eligible employee taking leave 43 under Article 12.02(10)(b) shall be permitted to take up to 26 work weeks of leave in a 44 12-month period.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.
