Common use of Minimum Call Clause in Contracts

Minimum Call. (a) Should an employee report for work on a regular scheduled basis and there is no work available, they shall be paid a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at their regular rate. (b) Any employee called back to work after the completion of their shift will receive time and one half (1 ½) their regular hourly rate of pay for such hours and shall be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours’ pay at the premium rate. (c) Employee called in to work on a day for which they are not scheduled, on a Sunday or a Statutory Holiday, shall receive the applicable premium rate of pay for such hours and shall be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at the premium rate.
