Miscellaneous Leave. 1. A permanent Unit Member may be granted an unpaid leave of absence for up to a period of one (1) year, the granting of which would be of benefit to the District or the individual. 2. At least four (4) months prior to the leave, the Unit Member shall submit to the Superintendent a written request for the leave stating the period of the leave and the reason for the request.
